Backup & Disaster Recovery for South Florida Businesses
From hurricane preparedness to ransomware recovery, Wolf Tech delivers tested, immutable backup solutions built for the real risks businesses across Miami and Fort Lauderdale face.
How Backup and Recovery Works
A backup is a copy of your data. Disaster recovery is the documented plan and tooling that gets your systems running again from that copy. Here is what each part of our service means in plain language. To estimate what downtime could cost your business, try the BDR cost calculator.
The 3-2-1 backup rule
Keep three copies of your data, on two different types of storage, with one copy offsite. We follow it with local and cloud copies, so a single failed device or a damaged office does not take your only copy with it.
Immutable, air-gapped backups
Immutable means a backup cannot be changed or deleted once it is written, and air-gapped means it is kept separate from your everyday network. Ransomware cannot encrypt it. Our ransomware protection guide explains why this matters.
RTO and RPO
Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is how long a system can be down before it must be restored. Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is how much recent data you can afford to lose, measured in time. We document both for each of your systems.
Restore testing
A backup only matters if it restores. We run monthly restore tests and document the results, so you find problems before an emergency does. Backup is one part of our broader managed IT services.

Common Questions
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?
Keep three copies of your data, on two different types of storage, with one copy offsite. Wolf Tech follows it with local and cloud copies of your data.
What is the difference between backup and disaster recovery?
Backup is the copy of your data. Disaster recovery is how you get operating again: documented RTO and RPO for each system, disaster recovery runbooks and orchestration, and monthly restore testing with documented results.
What are RTO and RPO?
RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how long a system can be down before it must be restored. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much recent data you can afford to lose, measured in time. Wolf Tech documents both for each system.
Do you back up Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
